Mussel Shells Chatting

On show at the Baltic 'Open Submissions' (2024).

This piece is made from ground up mussel shells collected from restaurant waste. The sound piece speculates what mussel shells would sound like if they could speak to each other. Mussel shells crackle when they are heated, here the pitch and rhythm has been altered to match a human conversation (2022).
